Which Model Code to print for the NCA Professional Responsibility exam

Lexn Team

Print the current 2024 FLSC Model Code of Professional Conduct, and use the Federation's changes-marked version to check anything your syllabus readings predate.

This comes up every PR sitting: which version of the Model Code should you study and print?

The current version is the 2024 Model Code, on the Federation's Model Code page. The same page offers a version with the most recent changes marked, which is the quickest way to see what was amended.

Why people get confused: the PR syllabus (listed as the March 2023 version) links to the October 2022 Model Code, which predates the 2024 version and its amendments.

Our suggestion: print the current 2024 version, and use the changes-marked version to check whether anything you're studying from the syllabus has been amended. If you want certainty about which version the exam is marked against, email exam@flsc.ca, and please post their reply here.

Possible further changes: amendments to the duty to report in rule 7.1-3, and amendments responding to TRC Call to Action 27, are still under consultation or review, not adopted. Check the Model Code page again close to your exam date.

Checked 18 Oct 2026. Which parts of the Model Code did you tab most?
